PREMIER ESTATE PROPERTIES recently flew in their London team to brief agents on the international market. In a hectic round of meetings, presentations and visits to key listings Nick Churton and Annette Reeve, who head up Premier Estate Properties’ London office, made sure that agents, management staff and sellers were brought up to date with exciting opportunities.

Their message was a very encouraging one for Florida. Nick Churton explained that the international real estate market is currently reeling from economic, social and political change. “But “it's an ill wind that blows nobody good’” and we currently assess that Florida is very much coming to the fore as a global warm-climate destination for buyers”, Churton explained. “We see the mood changing. Countries like China and Brazil, that in recent years have been a good source of buyers, are experiencing economic difficulties. In Europe the social and political climate is challenging. Northern Europeans who traditionally looked to France, Spain, Portugal and Greece for their vacation/investment homes are now understandably more reticent. And the market in North Africa the Near East has taken a huge knock. So, where would one look today for a beautiful home in a warm climate and stable, thriving and welcoming democracy? The simple answer is Florida”.

Churton and Reeve have each been in residential real estate for over thirty-five years and have been working with Premier Estate Properties for over ten years. Gerard Liguori says, “Having our own team in London is very important to us. London has such a significant influence internationally in finance, law, the arts and, of course, real estate. London is our bridge to Europe and beyond and our London team - an integral part of the Premier Estate Properties family - ensures that our message reaches out across the globe.

Reeve added, “There is nothing quite like coming to the US and meeting directly with agents and clients to put them fully in the international picture. It is also important for us to have first hand knowledge of the market in South Florida, as it is so much easier for us to talk to buyers from wherever they are in the world when we have direct product and area experience. It is just going those extra thousands of miles for clients that makes all the difference”.
