One of the largest oceanfront sales of the year in Palm Beach County has closed, with Premier Estate Properties’ Rosalind Clarke representing the buyer.
The Real Deal reports that British hedge fund founder Chris Rokos has sold his Manalapan estate at 1370 South Ocean Boulevard for $83.2 million. Premier Estate Properties’ Rosalind Clarke represented the buyer. The sale has since been covered by Realtor.com, The Palm Beach Post, the South Florida Business Journal and The Economic Times.
The Estate
- 2.8 acres with approximately 300 feet of ocean frontage
- Roughly 29,500 square feet of living area
- Nine bedrooms, 11 full and five half baths
- Spa, massage room, theater, wine cellar and library
- Built in 1972 and renovated in 2015
The property last traded for $40 million in 2017. This sale more than doubles that figure.
A Storied Address
The Real Deal notes that past owners of the estate include developer Frank McKinney and philanthropist Lois Pope.
Why Manalapan Continues To Set Records
The Real Deal describes Manalapan as a growing “billionaire’s bunker,” prized for its privacy, expansive lots and notable neighbors. Recent activity on the island includes WeatherTech founder David MacNeil’s $36 million acquisition earlier this year.
Premier Estate Properties has presented properties exclusively in excess of one million dollars for more than three decades, and our Palm Beach Estate Agents represent buyers and sellers at the very top of this market.
